Re: Mothers Day tributes

Would it be awful of me to say that I don’t really miss my mum, if I’m brutally honest?

I was about to say the same but I would like to celebrate my Nan who was my mother figure while I quietly forget my birth mother who really should never have had children.

I lost my dear Mother when she was just three weeks from her one hundredth birthday. Although she passed away eleven years ago she is in my heart on this day. God Bless you Mum.

I was 21 when my Mum died. She was 53. Always remembered fondly. She never liked the idea of Mothers Day. She said she just didn't need a special day for being appreciated.

What a marvellous age, Ben. Mine was a fortnight off her 90th when she left us.

She's still with you in your heart though.

That’s just it susie, I didn’t, apart from the usual growing up/ teenage angst, I came from a loving home, mum and dad never argued, well not much anyway, i never went without, and generally had a good home life, just that when I left home we grew apart, they raised me to be independent and they must’ve done a good job, I don’t recall us ever being asked round for meals and such, and they never reall6 made the effort to come to us, so I dunno, I guess we’ve never been a close family..
