Gay marriage

What do you all think of this now becoming legal? Personally I'm not sure how I feel about it.

Re: Gay marriage

If it makes people happier and gives them more of a sense of security it has to be a good thing .

Re: Gay marriage

I would have thought a civil partnership (or whatever they call it) would be sufficient though.

Re: Gay marriage

I dont agree to them marrying in church .if they want to spend their life together fine ,i just find it wrong to call it a marriage they will not be able to have children like a man and woman together .

Re: Gay marriage

I tend to agree with you Eliza. I think it's making a mockery of marriage and definitely should not be allowed in Church. OK, if they want to live together, that's OK.

Re: Gay marriage

I just don't see what they have to gain by being 'married' as opposed to just living together. At least if things don't work out they can just go their separate ways instead of having to divorce (I expect they would have to legally divorce).
