My three small grandchildren (age 5 and 2x6) love playing board games and card games.I taught my grandson to play chess when he was 5 and he is in the chess club at school. The girls like Junior Scrabble, Beetle, Snakes and ladders and Ludo and somthing called Scaredy Cat

My middle daughter bought a game called Risk, she says it's brilliant.I don't have anyone to play board games with, I find them quite stressful, this sounds like it would be deadly!
I thought I understood chess until I tried playing against my laptop, I kept being told I was using illegal moves, gave up!

We get the board games out at Christmas for a bit of fun, Ludo, Draughts and Monopoly.I really love the Match 3 and Marble Popper Games here though http://www.bigfishgames.com/pc-games/ and check them every day, I've had some corkers over the years ...

Haha! Love it Jem!I played Blockus (new one belonging to 9yr old niece) and Jenga over Christmas, with various extended family members. I got thrashed every time!
I play scrabble online but the computer knows a ridiculous amout of two letter words and always beats me in the "use your tiles up" stage of the game. It usually finds a triple word score square with an X or a Z
