Re: Pensioners are better off

Some pensioners are better off but not all by any means and I fear they may use this to make cuts making all pensioners worse off.

Is this the proganda machine kicking in? I suspect that the guvvermunt is preparing to cut our old age pensions and by having stories like this sent out working people will be unsympathetic to the plight of pensioners.
Maybe I am being too cynical but I don't trust any government

In fact UJ, I would say that the great majority of pensioners are not within this category!
Honestly, I really feel that these poll people should be made to publicise just where they took their polling from. Chelsea, Notting Hill, Mayfair? Ill guarantee it wasn't in the Shires, Stoke, Middlesbourgh or Sunderland.

BOGUS!!!!

I used to belong to a polling organisation we got paid for opinions, some of the meets were hysterically funny I'd be there wondering where they got the other people from, it was heavily weighted with ladies who lunch types, people who saw it as a nice afternoon out. At one about waitrose and ocado made me laugh it changed two ladies minds about shopping there when they realised a cleaner shopped there too

Re: Pensioners are better off

Maybe they should stop the £10 Christmas Bonus first, it hasn't changed in four decades and is a fairly worthless amount these days.
