Anyone any idea why they are doing this apart from they can ? Seems a waste of time, money and lives to me.

They have dna from a mammoth and are crossing it with an elephant, they are worried it may kill the elemum so it's being done in vitro. I just think why do it ? Surely better things they could be doing ?
