Surrey Council's 'sweetheart' deal with Government.

Despite protestations of 'no deal' during PMQs, it seems that yet again Theresa May and the rest of the scumbag 'nasty party' have lied, and lied and lied again.

Hi

Every Council and every Government Department in the UK does this at allocation time.

It is called negotiation.

The Leader of the Council would have been failing in his duty if he had not done do.

Swims right but it can't be right to give some councils more than others, although I'd say we have unique problems down here, it's where half the country head to find work, where many end up on the streets, and where there is a big aging population I think only places have bigger ones are seaside areas.

Re: Surrey Council's 'sweetheart' deal with Government.

If he and any other councils want to increase council taxes over 5%

They have to hold a referendum with the local people

Think that's a step forward in giving locals a chance on stating their views

I see a Ref has just been held in Eastbourne about should the council sell of all of the Southdowns(Beachy head) it owns

The local people said NO.(60%)

Re: Surrey Council's 'sweetheart' deal with Government.

Despite protestations to the contrary, there WAS/IS a 'sweetheart' deal between the 'nasty party' government and Surrey County Council.
