He did masses of amount for Liverpool under Maggies Government.Dragged them out of the mess and invested in the Albert Docks etc.
Now, I think he's lost it a bit. Very slow and not fully engaging . Time to go and have a rest.
Wasn't he behind Thatcher going ? Maybe he just doesn't like women !

Precisely!!!, because if you look close enough at that photo you will notice small grills inset into the back of the benches which are actually speakers.

As I have said before, I see absolutely no need for the House of Lords. It is, in effect, an exclusive and very expensive private club for previous PMs' mates, and should be abolished.
Those of us who voted for Brexit know exactly why we voted, and we don't need a self-centred and doddery old fossil telling us what we really wanted.
Also, sacking one of the peers might be a great way of getting the attention of the rest of them?
