I appreciate that you were relating to only NHS PFI Annie, I was just making the general point that the whole of the PFI thing is absolutely stupid.
Not all NHS PFIs have a buy out clause, they are locked in.
One which has bought out is this one, but still at great cost.

I would suggest the very poorly negotiated PFIs are brought out. The ones that were not checked properly for affordability over the life of the lease and are causing major financial problems now. Not all were badly structured. This should be covered by the HS2 costs. The trouble is some of these are likely to be paying for people's pensions...09-03-2017, 12:28 PM
