Expensive noises !

My poor Sid, my car, is making what sounds like expensive noises. This may be the end

My husband reckons a newer car might be cheaper than repairs this time.

Feels like betraying an old friend even thinking of that.

But it may have to be done. So looks like I'm looking for a car at the weekend.

Re: Expensive noises !

I guess you'd have to find out what is wrong, and consider the cost of repair versus a new/newer car

I think it's what the garage said might happen, needs lots of welding, we had it costed at over £1000 which on a car I'm unlikely to get £250 for seems uneconomic. Well that's what my husband says I might start a save Sid funding page

There are some real bargains out there Julie, providing you know what to look for.

Re: Expensive noises !

I quite fancy a Beatle they do them in automatic now. I fancied one of the originals years ago but the manual gear box put me off.

But we are going out this weekend to see what's out there all I do know is I don't want a tiny car and I need to be able to get dogs into the back seat so has to have 4 doors.

Yellow or red would be nice, I know I know that makes no difference to his it runs

Re: Expensive noises !

I like buying new cars and never keep one for more than a couple of years at the most, before giving it to whichever of my daughters wants it.

Nice I've put it in my favourites to show Steven when he gets home, only way it could be better is if it was yellow or red

Just think of it as organ donation. Sid could possibly be saving the life of a Bessy or a Natsumi.
