Re: Expensive noises !
I had a Honda CR-V just when the changeover from having the spare wheel mounted on the back door was removed. Don't know if it was a "Friday" car or what but it had no guts and it was new, it struggled to get up hills in the peak district so very dissapointed with it and sold it.
Having said that Sue now has just bought a Honda Civic estate 1.6 ltr diesel and it goes like the preverbial bomb. Not only around 65/70 to the galleon but no road tax either . It is an ex demo with 6000 on the clock and only around 6 months old ( can't be sure without checking). Not only that but had been upgraded for demo purposes but sold for basic used model price. So got a really good deal on it.
I see that at the end of this year they are not going to make the Honda Civic Estate any more and have to say not seen that many on the road either, so possibly lack of sales?
She had a new Kia ceed estate (with around 35000 when part/ex on it) from new and Kia DO NOT keep their warranty 7 year as advertised. the alloy wheels? - the radio never worked properly the refused to fix/replace and the so called alloy wheels rusted at the hub. Gear box was getting "notchy" when she got rid of it after 7 years.
I had a new Kia Sorento, tried putting it into 4WD and not only would not go into but the ABS light came on as well.
It went back to 2 different main dealers in total 4 times to be fixed and what it was the wiring under the car had rusted through and they refused to do a rewire. Other parts that went wrong took 4 months to get as Kia only ship parts over not fly them on a order only basis.
Korean car are ones to avoid at all costs in my opinion, they are cheaper than equivilant Jap counter part cars for a very good reason. THEY ARE CRAP
