Something similar happened with an Uncle of mine fairly recently, he never married and lived on his own in a residential home, he left all his money, about 260,000 euros, to the church, Apples into an orchard I know, but he was always a bit strange that way, over religious and kept to himself.
Members of the family asked me to sign a document in order to contest the will, I refused, the way I see it is folks are entitled to leave their money to whoever they like and that’s the end of it as far as I was concerned, going against the last wishes of the dead is a very wrong thing to do, in my opinion.
