Deporting Terrorist Suspects.

Hi

Germany is deporting two terrorist suspects.

The two have not been found guilty of anything, yet are deemed to be posing a danger.

Deporting people is perfectly legal if they pose a threat to Public Safety.

The question is, if Germany can do it, subject to all the various rules of the EU, why don't we?

Re: Deporting Terrorist Suspects.

The problem is , there will be many more, so it will be a long job to get rid of all of them. Merkel is responsible for this, by trying to suck up to the UN..in the hope of getting a good job!

Britain is in the same mess, just because they always try to be British and fair! From what Swim tells us, there are plenty that we need to get rid of, but the old fuddy duddys in parliament are trying to show that they are caring to these immigrants( some of whom may be radical) and it would be "just not British" to throw them out.]It is time the British public asked them "WHY?"

Hi

In this instance the two deported were born in Germany, so not even Immigrants.

As far as Immigrants are concerned, the German Government is really going for it.

In an interview with the Sunday edition of Bild newspaper, Peter Altmaier - the head of the Chancellor's Office and the government's coordinator on refugee affairs - says he expects unprecedented numbers of people to be deported from Germany in the coming months.
"Last year, 80,000 people whose applications for asylum were rejected returned to their countries of origin," Altmaier said. "That was a record, and the numbers will continue to rise. In 2016, some 700,000 applications for asylum were made, and almost 300,000 were rejected. We want to deport these people swiftly. Otherwise it hurts the credibility of our country and its laws."

As far as identifying where these people come from, even if they do have no ID Papers, the Germans are starting to use speech recognition software.

You may be surprised to learn that it is British Technology which we have had for years, developed by DERA, Meg's place down the road, later sold off to Quinetiq.

As usual, us taxpayers lost out on the sale , sold for peanuts.

It beggars belief that we have not been using it.

I agree with most of what you say Swimmy, but the item in bold worries me. Why would any country allow them to deport terrorists to their country, when they have never lived there? Surely they would not want a foreign terrorist to live in their country....unless they support the terrorists plans and will find somewhere else to send them, so they can do further atrocities?

The trouble is that a lot of our potential terror suspects are British citizens. Where do we deport them to? Australia?

What a wonderful Idea Annie! Some Aussies believe that they deal with them better than us, so why not let them?

Re: Deporting Terrorist Suspects.

I can't understand where they would be deported to either? Surely if they were born in Germany they will have German accents so voice recognition will confirm they are German? Confusing?

Now now poo, we might all think it but not many dare say it

Re: Deporting Terrorist Suspects.

I know it's not a popular view but deporting people worries me, while they are here we can watch them, we can control who they contact, set them free in Saudi of Pakistan or turkey and they can come back at us stronger than ever.

Worrying I say that is most worrying.
