Could a new European Trading Group be formed?

Suppose the UK, as part of the programme of leaving the current EU with all it's baggage (Euro, etc), opted to start a whole new European Group of Fellow Thinking Traders.

Could we pull in those who only Trade with the EU?

Could you recruit any of the current members of the EU?

Could we become equal partners without having all the agony of expensive central MEP type posts and without the damaging EURO?

Do you think that's part of the UK Plan?

Surely we've learned enough, over the EU years, to know how it could be achieved properly?

Hi

Not sure how this would work.

Firstly, we could not get one with any EU Countries, no Bilateral Trade Deals allowed.

Secondly there aren't many European Countries who are not part of the EU, certainly not the big economies.

No, I do not think it is part of the plan, simply because it is not a realistic option.

Our plan seems to be to develop some form of agreement with the EU and then Non Eu Countries.

Ted as the EU ceased to be just a Common Market long ago and became much more political and about power and federation, it would not I feel be in the interests of some to let us start a trade organisation.
Too many people who are enjoying that power and do very nicely from their positions would not allow it.

I agree with Meg, too many want power they will grab if from anywhere they can.
