I can't remember why we tried it then dropped it again, was it something to do with kids going to school in the dark?
I think you are right.

Re: British Summer Time

The mnemonic that I learned was ‘Spring Forward and Fall Back.’ Fall in the sense of the American word for Autumn.

Thank you. I do try to remember that and still I get it wrong, but I'll get it right this time.

I suppose if we had BST all year it'd mean losing GMT
And I suppose that wouldn't seem right

Do you wish we had BST all the year round as we did for a short time in the 60s? I think I would prefer it, however I guess those much further north than us would find the dark mornings a real pain.
No, hate it. Our clocks don't go back until next weekend it is far too long just to placate the six fingered Tasmanians.

The Queenslanders have the right idea they won't have a bar of it, they know that the extra sunlight fades the curtains. It is not fair, if someone near the Queensland/NSW border misses their favourite TV program they can watch it an hour later on a Queensland station.

Get rid of daylight savings.

Re: British Summer Time

We have the task of changing all the clocks today - such a pain. I always forget the one in my car which I normally change a month or so later.

Ooh yes dongles, thanks for that, I usually forget my car one too.
I suppose I'll have to adjust the central heating settings too won't I.
It's my cooker clock that I find most difficult, it's all digital instead of a 'normal' clock.

Hi Mups.

My cooker clock is the same. I always have to dig out the leaflet every time.

Oh I am so glad it's not me.
I thought I'd be clever this morning and alter it without the instructions . . didn't work.
