Best webcam/pet monitor?

I'm looking at ordering one of these, but it must have two way audio, so I can speak to puppy when out, via the phone app. I will be attending a hospital appointment about 4 days after bringing her home, and will need to monitor her/speak to and reassure her. Not only that day but on others.

There are several on Amazon, ranging from 50 odd ££s to about 130, but with varying reports on reliability etc.

Has anyone installed one in their home, or could recommend?

Thanks.

Can't help jazzi sorry all ours had to realise they were going to be left in the old traditional way, if you start on day you get your pup just leave the room for a few minutes you have four days to build up to the longer leaving. Not ideal but it's always worked for us.

a pet monitor might work on an older dog , but a pup will need to see you ,it will cry in the first few days of separation from its mother .That has been my experence...
It would be cheaper to get a pet sitter in for the few hours you are away from home or a friend ...

Good point I always gave my neighbour my key in case of distress but we've always been a multiple dog family so the other dog has done the baby sitting.

Don't have neighbours who are available to pop in. Not trusted ones, anyway, and the day of the week dictates who would be available, friend wise.

Re: Best webcam/pet monitor?

When we lost molliepops, Betty was inconsolable but I had an appointment at hospital, I took her with me in the car, with a giant fluffy rabbit. Sat on the back seat cuddled up to her bunny she was fine, and meant if I needed I could pop out periodically to see if she was ok.

Came out to go home if had only taken 20 minutes I found my car surrounded by nurses all cooing and awwwwing at her through the windows.

All had to have a cuddle before I drove away so I actually ended up there for 45 minutes not 20
