Van without brakes, tax and MOT stopped on M6

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england...shire-43427247

The unlicensed driver was using the handbrake to slow down when it was stopped on the M6 in Staffordshire on Thursday, the Central Motorway Police Group said.

Officers said the driver was reported for all the offences, but no arrests were made.

why wasn't he arrested I wonder...
He was in possession of a potentially lethal weapon with no brakes.

Hi

Until the Cuts started there were regular stops and inspections involving the Police, VOSA,and Licensing, Immigration, and other Enforcement Agencies.

These have now stopped, well at least reduced by 90%.

What part of this do you not understand?

The van got stopped by your one of your "Enforcement Agencies" so I think you've got the wrong end of the stick .....

My 17 year old grandson recently passed his test and bought a little car. He was pulled over by the police as they thought he wasn’t wearing a seat belt, which he was. They checked his documents and all ok but found a defective tyre and fined him £100 and 3 penalty points! Seems so unfair.

Hi

When I was working I had a team of Enforcement Officers who worked 3 nights a week with the Police,VOSA, Immigration Etc.

This went because of the cuts.

It was specifically targeted at Nightclubs,Pubs etc.

Fake Taxis, with crap cars and no Insurance, illegal drivers, targeting tipsy girls.

The Rape Gangs.

You are obviously happy with this.

I am not.

Women and girls are entitled to go out and have a good time, same as the lads.

They are not there to be abused.

The fact remains, cut your Enforcement Agencies and Crime will increase.
