I loved Downton Abbey. Does anyone know of any other Series or movies similar?

I didn't watch it for some reason.....But one of the channels here often show a full Catherine Cookson story over the W/E. are they not similar?

I'm not really into Period Drama I love Detective programmes.

I wasn't keen on Downton but I did like Mr Selfridge and Map and Luccia I think it was called.
I prefer Vintage crime series such as Murdoch, Miss Fisher, Doctor Blake and Father Brown and of course Poirot and Miss Marple etc.

Forensic Detective.
Mystery Murder Documentaries.
Fatal Attraction.
Call The Midwife.

Then there's comedy like.

The Durrells.
Doc. Martin.
Carry on Films.
Mr. Bean.
On the Buses.
