Re: 1972 BBC TV series "The British Empire"

Hi again

Really appreciate your interest and efforts to help me with this project😀. I think there would undoubtedly have been a time when it was made available by Beeb. (More likely to be vhs than DVD) Then we had the great airbrushing and cleansing etc. I recall ordering the complete Poldark, 1975 series about ten years ago from “BBC Video Enterprises”. I dearly wish I’d had a search then.

Thank you again.

No, Art Malik series. (late 90s?) That one obviously survived the Nuremberg PC laws.

Hi again. BBC Store closed in November 17. Didn’t have it anyway.

Thanks

Hi

No, just reference to the programme in the Radio Times for that time. Thanks anyway.

Re: 1972 BBC TV series "The British Empire"

Found this parliamentary article about the series.

https://api.parliament.uk/historic-h...-empire-series

It mentions that the series was done in collaboration with US International Time-Life organisation. I wonder if it's worth pursuing that angle and see if they have any copies of the series in their archives.

Thanks again. Yes, saw that too. I think you could be on to something there so will pursue. However, was hoping that the lot on this side of the Pond would be able to help😡
