Can someone explain something for me please?

A couple of weeks back, that horrid little squirt 'Lucky' squashed all his auntie's pipes and tubes in the hospital, and we were supposed to assume he'd killed her.
So how come she's still alive?

He did squash his auntie's pipes and it's strange the alarm didn't go off either

I think she started to move so he panicked and left the room. Right at end of the episode he dashed out of the room and leant against a wall with look of horror on his face.

They showed him squeezing the pipes then leaving the hospital, probably for dramatic effect, but it looks like he wasn't able to do it!

Yes I saw thatr bit Twinks, but it's what happened next I didn't understand. Did an alarm go off? Did someone come in and see it?
It was such a potential gory ending to that episode, it must have been followed through, surely?
