It was said on tv, as on-velope, which prompted me to start the discussion.

As said, I much prefer en-v. I also say scone, not sconn. And I hate the word oction! Somehow, my toes curl at this.

And, don't ask me why, but years ago I also hated the word floppy, as in floppy disc. Even though it was a proper name, I just hated it! Am I weird?

As for en or on, I have worked with people who have used both.
