I hear my lady`s daughters calling each other-Zims. Maybe it`s just me-I would never use the term. I`m old and I remember when that was an insult. Remember my late wife`s mother was a radical right wing South African-odd how I now have a lady from Zimbabwe.
How strange, yesterday was my 19th anniversary of marriage to my Zim wife.
There is no problem using the shortened term Zim as far as I know, but it is normally used for the country rather than the people.
