I always sing loudly I don't get much chance to sing these days and although I am an atheist l still love singing hymns.
I was in the school choir and taught to sing the descent and still do in some hymns.

I should know better, my stepmother was very religious so we spent a lot of time in church. She had a beautiful trained voice and used to sing with the Hallé Choir and orchestra and when we were singing in church her voice rang out above everyone else which I found quite embarrassing at the time .

I hope my grandchildren aren't embarrassed when I sing loudly at school events.

I don't. I'm an atheist so it would be a bit hypocritical for me to do so. I'm there for moral support at weddings and to pay my respects at funerals.

We don't sing at funerals or weddings here, there is always a singer
