Bush Stone Curlews protecting their new born chicks which are approximately a day old. There are two chicks. The chicks are very vulnerable during the first week. If they survive, they'll be able to fly in eight - ten weeks time.

My Gardenias are all out, the one in the backyard bloomed first and one in the front just now, strange how the position on the same block of land makes such a difference.
