I can remember the Knocker Upper, the women deaf from the noise in the Mills, lip reading.
We had an outside shared loo, a tin bath and a coal range, no cooker, the washing lines went across the street from house to house, wash tub, mangle.
The best catch for a wife was a three loom weaver, they earned good money.
We moved to Huddersfield when I was 4, it was dead posh, we had our own loo.
