Re: Moss

Every spring I always treat my lawns to a "feed and weed" mixture, it seems to do the trick.

Re: Moss

I never do anything to my grass, I don't want to encourage it.

Re: Moss

My lawn isn't grass anymore it seems; moss has completely taken over. Nice and spongy underfoot though and it is still green so what the heck .

Re: Moss

We used to rake it out then put down a generous sprinkling of sand. Seemed to do the trick.

Re: Moss

Scarify or a good raking, to make it all stand up, then a cut and then some weed and feed.
A bit if aerating will do good if it is compacted.

Re: Moss

I haven't had a lawn for over 10 years, but I used to use a product called Verdone, it made us a nice lawn, but we got too weak to push lawnmowers and got rid.

Re: Moss

Hi Maggie I think spiking all over with a fork then brushing in a top dressing of sand and compost may help

I have given up trying to remove moss, I quite like it
