Re: Over 50's Wales club (part 6)

Yet another lovely summer's morning - not! Two boys and a dog cooped up in the house instead of clearing rubbish in the garden. Sigh! Already we've made the dough for gingerbread men and we're waiting for it to solidify enough to roll out. Picked runner beans, with the rain running down my arms.....

Its a damp one here as well Sue . I've been hovering and the sweat is running off me . My hoover died on me just as I finished and don't think I can get it repaired . Anyone got one of those cordless ones always advertised on TV . I cant work out how you charge it ?

Re: Over 50's Wales club (part 6)

I've been fancying one of those too Jac, several of the carers have used them and say they are excellent. However while Henry is still going strong I'm reluctant to replace him.

Knackered Nana here, all afternoon in the garden and loads of rubbish dumped into the stock trailer that DIL left for me.Left the boys to decorate the gingerbread men later and paid for it by having to clean up a very sticky kitchen - oh and the dog dug an enormous hole in the garden and had to be hosed down outside before she was allowed anywhere near the house!!

OOH Eck Sue xx
My daughter is bringing her Dyson cordless down tomorrow and our Handyman has lent me a Vax cordless so I can compare .I agree Sue ,I don't replace anything until dead
Some sunshine here at the moment but we have had some showers . Out for my pub lunch later . I had a childs portion last week and it was just enough for me (and cheaper)

Its cloudy here but quite humid . I only had a few bits to do but the sweat was dripping down my neck
My handyman lent me a Vac cordless and daughter is bringing a Dyson later so I see which is best

Re: Over 50's Wales club (part 6)

Fresher today and a bit of sunshine. Went to do some shopping in Llandrindod this morning. It's Festival week and some of the residents are walking round in Victorian costume. Not what it was when it started though, then all the shops used to dress their windows as they would have been in Victorian times, but don't think any do now. Picked up an Indian meal for two in Tesco which fuelled three of us quite easily!

Funny thing, people either love or hate Dysons. Be interesting to hear what you think Jac.

Little boys are at rugby camp today and tomorrow, so I had a quiet day on the housework. Chris came to stay with me this evening while Jamie went to his regular rugby training (!) think they'll sleep tonight!!
