My friend was bitten this month , don't know which kind of spider , it was outside in the garden , her leg was in a bad way . She said a bulbous body with long spindly legs . Had to have hospital treatment
Here you are, Mups. We have lots here & I do kill them if I see them. Mostly I see their very untidy webs though, as the spiders are crafty. They won't attack unless provoked, but our next door neighbour got bitten by one when he was clearing out his shed. He was ill for several weeks, not everyone is allergic to their bites, but as I am allergic to wasp, bee stings & horsefly bites I'm not taking any chances with them.

Thanks for that Tiff, I did attempt a picture but gave up.
The article was a bit skeptical that the spider actually killed that mouse, even so it is a pretty impressive spider. It wasn't said if that spider is a dangerous one to humans though.
