Re: Blue's Rhyms/Poems
My Crown
I got my crown from Jesus, it was such a grand surprise,
sat down at His banquet, just couldn't believe my eyes..
I saw Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, they were all attending the feast,
but; "why am I here Sweet Jesus?" "I'm not even yet deceased".
I saw my mother in the corner talking with my brother, Rick....
she is no longer disabled, "where's her walking stick?"
dear old dad seemed young again, he sported a glorious crown....
and my sister liked to play dress-up, wearing her wedding gown.
Moses was there, he looked the same as I pictured all these years..
he spoke to me with gentleness and told me to dry my tears.
My crown was rather heavy, it didn't seem to fit just right,
I spoke to Jesus quietly, I couldn't understand the night......
Blueberry, my darling daughter, please remove your crown,
it is not your time to be here....go back to your small town...
Finish the work I gave to you, hold your head up high..
tell your friends about Me and how they need not die.
Tell them about the cross,
how I paid for all their sins
Give me your crown -
I'll hold it for you....
it will fit you better then.
