Fantastic lecture today at U3A by Prof. Alistair Sloan from Cardiff Uni (head honcho in charge of Stem cell research and Regererative Medicine). Amazing communicator and I came home understanding a bit more about stem cells etc. than I knew before.

Went and fetched the little (not so little now) boys from the school buses and made pancakes for them - now read to put the feet up and watch the box.

Well our NatWest bank has gone for good in Hay on Wye. I think they should be ashamed of themselves closing down a branch which serves a really wide customer base. The inconvenience to their customers is monumental. 45 mile round trip to get to the nearest branch in Brecon.

Really lucky this morning. Took Rob to the surgery for our flu jabs and managed to time it in between really heavy showers. The rest of the day has been miserable, glad to be indoors.

Its a wintry one here so not doing much . Been trying to sort clothes out fo charity but not getting on very well . Just sorted out beach wear , found things I didn't know I had but I've put them all back

Went to another harvest service in neighbouring village this morning. DIL came to mow my lawn this afternoon but the mower ran out of petrol! Never mind, she's mowed the only bit I can see out of the window!

The sky here is a very strange orange colour and the wind has picked up.Don't think the storm is due in Berkshire-hope not.
