That is surely a nonsense Swim.

What possible benefit is there in putting a human inside such a machine? The controls the human is wielding there could just as easily be situated in a van or building a long way away and thus the machine would be controlled remotely.

The machine there is simply paying homage to the plethora of computer games that feature mega-droids.

The military is I believe, awash with remote controlled weaponry from flying drones to surface tanks and vehicles and underwater craft. There's no need any more to put humans inside these things.

There are certains situations where a decision can only be made by humans....on the ground (in the battlefield) rather than a thousand miles away. .......so why is it a nonesense?

We are all doomed! ......again...The Anderson Shelter is already full of tins of Spam and candles.
I am not sure which is worse, being eaten alive by the walking dead, during a Zombie Apocalypse or the monotonous buzzing of bloody drones carrying nuclear warheads disguised as an Amazon delivery during Eastenders!
It's all getting too much, I shall be writing to my MP.
