Thank you everyone for your wishes and thoughts they are helping I'm sure, she came home for the weekend and didn't want to go back but it's best at the moment she's where they can help her more easily. We are looking at hiring a wheelchair that will get her home quicker, and they are putting in place outpatient physio to take over from the ward physio, and school is already putting in place measures to get her back to the classroom. She has a swathe of homework to keep her busy until she gets back.

Poor Gracie, I can remember when being ill meant you didn't have to do homework.
I know you said she has great determination, and that is a good thing to help her get her movement back. Getting a wheelchair sounds like a good idea, and I am sure a little pampering would do no harm, so you would be able to take her Christmas shopping... if the doctor will allow that.
I am sure that Gracie has no idea how many people are wishing her well.... but I think I can say that all the people on here, who know about her, can't wait to hear the news that she is on the road to recovery.
