Hi... I'm sock!

...also known as "Bill" by some. I'm a 55 year-old single, straight white guy from Kansas City, Missouri. Not religious, spiritual or particularly deep.

I try to remember to stay in the moment when I can and find that the problems that come with middle age are actually pretty well compensated by the benefits it brings.

Lost my mom last year, and am now struggling with my father's health problems... so I use the internet mainly as a way to socialize with the rest of the world. And so, here I am. Looking forward to meeting any or all of you. :O)

I'm in a similar position....I am 52 and caring for my quadriplegic mum.
