He's a Director of an oil company in Kurdistan, he can afford to buy if he wants to.

Not sure what your issue is. Plenty of MP;s have property worth mega bucks, and plenty rent them out too. All parties , right across the board, no discrimination there.

I agree but I'd like to see a parliament full of people putting country before personal profit I'm not convinced anyone with outside companies or work can really do that.

I don't particularly like the bloke but what he does with his money is his business. Blair's empire makes £25m seem like a drop in the ocean.

I was puzzled too and had this mental image of Tpin building walls with garden gnomes on them in his pajamas.
