Ooo what if they take your DNA and plant it at a crime scene! That will not happen though, will it?

Over the Christmas period it was twenty pounds cheaper so they do offers at quiet times.

I had paid £300 for a test with my brother some years previously so it seemed fair to me.

Thank you, Silbee, I will give it some serious thought and look out for special offers!

WOW! That's a spooky thought...it might make a good crime story I am sure there must be something in the small print of those DNA testing companies that say something about your sample being destroyed after testing?

I saw that article the day it came out. One of the other broadsheets covered the same article just before Christmas.

I don't see myself as an advocate for dna ancestry testing in any way but I was impressed with my results.

Up until nine years ago I thought I was German/Welsh with suspicions.

When I was tested with my brother it was clear we didn't have the same father.

The only other contender was a German/Norwegian, if you go back and look at my results, they bear this out with surprising accuracy which leave me with no other conclusion than to believe my results are somewhat accurate.

I always go into these kind of things with an open mind and in a way I was half prepared for a daft result but I didn't get one.

Re: Ancestry dna

Without a word of a lie..
I knew a food scientist who was asked, as part of her job obviously, to test a sample of meat (on sale in a supermarket) for its dna.
Their results were inconclusive! The best they could come up with was that it was some kind of mammal

The product turned out to be an Iceland chicken product!
How far altered can it have been that they couldn't detect bird dna!!!
