Problem is TessA, the other primary EU member already DO want out of the EU. Spain wants out, Greece wants out, Italy wants out etc etc.

Those exits are coming, no question. None whatsoever.

They will watch Britain exit, watch us do so successfully, cleanly, totally and then realise that their only hope for future prosperity and freedom is to follow suit. Their hopes and dreams have already been destroyed by the shambles of the Euro, the decimation of their economies and the harsh austerity measures introduced as a result, which hurt the real ordinary people but let off the rich elite who caused much of the financial problems.

People across Europe hate the corrupt elitist power-mongering that has taken place. They hate the 1000s of silly regulations the EU has imposed everywhere.

Lots of real genuine people, especially in Greece, have lost their life savings, lost everything because of how the EU has operated. One Greek businessman who found himself owing $100,000 after the corrupt EU bail out process, simply committed suicide.

It all has to come to an end.

The EU is dead, it simply hasn't stopped moving yet !

Re: The PMs Speech

So here we have the euro papers making fun of the PMs speech
We I can understand Germany ( we did win the war after all) and France ( they really don't like us ) and not at all surprised to see Ireland taking the Mick because they can't stand it that so many of their citizens live in the UK and Northern Ireland prefers to be British .
It will mean they can't claim subsidies for livestock driving back and forth to nowhere and other tricky little scams they practise over their open borders.

Yes, that's it in a nutshell.

They can laugh, but we'll have the last laugh!

Ideally, I'd like to see everyone leave except for France and Germany, leaving them to carry the can when it comes to paying their dues. They can also keep, and financially support, the nett beneficiaries; the poorer countries who contribute less than they receive.

I think you're being a little unfair on Cameron Barry. Because unlike Mrs May he was part of a coalition government so wasn't able to ask for what he would have wanted. More what he thought the Lib/Dems would agree to.

You are wrong on that one I'm afraid, at the time of his "negotiations" in 2016 he was Prime Minister of a conservative government.

True.

Throughout history we have had weak PMs and strong PMs.

Thatcher was a strong PM.
John Major was a weak PM.
Tony B Liar was a weak PM.
Gordon Brown was a weak PM.
Cameron was a weak PM.
May is looking like a strong PM.

See a pattern?
