Re: Folk Music.

My favourite folk artist the amazing Christy Moore singing an acoustic version of Pink Floyd's "Shine on you crazy diamond" - very moving

Re: Folk Music.

I love rock,Gregorian chant but `folk` has it`s history in telling what folk thought?

Aberfan happened on my 13th Birthday-I was told off for not enjoying the day.

I wish I could find Martin Carthy singing this song but this will ave to do;

Re: Folk Music.

Here's another one I really love - the beautiful Michelle Lally with Frankie Gavin and Jim Galvin performing "If You Love Me"

Re: Folk Music.

I used to quite like Pentangle, I still have their 'Basket of Light' Album and saw them at the Albert Hall in the late 60s.

Bob Dylan was also a great favourite I have rather eclectic tastes in music and like most styles of music - folk, jazz, rock to classical (detest the appalling Andre Rieu with a passion though)

Re: Folk Music.

I used to go to see rock bands in my teens,danced to `pop` records at the discos. But this was restricted to my bedroom-small village Bedfordshire teens were not ready for this kind of stuff;http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zKI6YO4auaE
