Re: Microwave cookers

I never really liked microwave ovens until I bought my Panasonic Combination Microwave oven about six years ago. I haven't noticed a reduction in power. I use it mainly for making my porridge in the morning, jacket potatoes, making custard, cooking rice, reheating food and warming plates when I have all the family here.
You would laugh if you saw me gingerly glance at it when cooking something as I read looking at microwaves when in use, make you blind!!

Re: Microwave cookers

I have learned something interesting today by reading this thread.

I never knew microwaves lost power with age - bit like me really!

Re: Microwave cookers

We got a new one about 7 months ago. Hopefully it will last 22 years!

I like that griddle Wrinkly!
Watch out for that drone!

Re: Microwave cookers

When microwaves were the new toy, I cooked (or tried to cook) a large fish roe.
Blew the bloody microwave door off and coated the walls and ceiling with tiny fish eggs.

And, it was in a home I was visiting - not my own.
Went over big.
