Go for it summer , I'm feeling better , still pounding the treadmill did 7 miles this week , the music keeps me walking . Not much weight loss as I'm still naughty with the wine and too much good living! At least I've not gained . I'm going twice a week .

Well done again Susan you are doing well, it takes effort but now you are in the groove there will be no stopping you.. Don't worry about all that too much good living stuff, its the best bit! If you keep training think how easier it will be to lift that wine!

Re: New gym member

Susan, how enjoyable it is to read that you undertaking this new activity. Your attitude is wonderful, and I look forward to your updates and gym reports. I have a "dreadmill" at home that I use when I can't go out to run (weather, sick daughter, etc.), so I know how much a little bit of music can make walking/running more like dancing and less like a hamster mill. Brilliant on your part!

Floydy started a thread called, "Post Your Daily Exercise Routine". I am posting there to keep myself motivated and read about others' adventures, you should join me there .

Re: New gym member

Yes I'm still going and now moved onto other machines that resemble some form of torture . Twice a week and keep saying I'll go three times a week in the winter but don't keep me to that . The personal trainer is lovely eye candy as he makes me and karen do warm up squats , I'm dreadin if he tells me to do sit ups . Having had two frozen shoulders due to my career I'm trying to get more stretch and strength back in my arms and neck .

I told karen the other day the pores in my body didn't know what they were there for before I started the gym , now I have to take a towel with me as I'm dripping when I'm done .

Gym day again tomorrow

How delightful to hear that you and your pores have discovered each other, and that you had another fine outing to the gym! At least there is a modicum of a tradeoff between the rack-resembling-torture-machines and the good-looking trainer. You just get a good stare the next time you have to squeeze out three more reps .

Re: New gym member

Hi Susan,
Working out in gym brings better results than exercises alone as you will not be advised in workouts but also in meals plans. And the competitive environment in gyms helps you to stick with workouts and helps you in meeting your fitness goals.

Where did this thread bump from?

For the record, susan m: Are you still training at the gym and how are you getting on?
