Glad you are home.
I asked that at the bar. But I know now that you are safe.

Re: I've had my chest x-ray

Safe, but on my own which I crave for awhile. Made some good contacts in hospital, though, a couple of which I hope to keep. And my friend in Oklahoma City now has face-time so I've been very peopled the past 10 days.

A little out of my zone but hope for the future. I crave my electric blanket come 11pm.

Re: I've had my chest x-ray

I still haven't really come down.

I had to phone the hospitals dedicated haemotology line to find out which of the myriad of drugs they gave me was the steroids. This information they gave me happily. It's an important drug as it has to be stopped but slowly, day by day.

Well, that was the best solid 8 hours sleep I've had in a while; I slept almost right through not needing any pain medication.

Nothing much to do today apart from finish my washing, then a trip to the vape shop and supermarket. I'll be taking walking a little slower than usual, though.

Re: I've had my chest x-ray

Still not up to cooking much, today I bought brown seeded bread, some cheesy coleslaw, peanut butter, a macaroni cheese, apples, a smoothie and some camembert plus Bertolli which was on offer. Nice to get outside, though, and visit my vape shop, stock up on juice (one kind fellow in hospital was always giving me juice but hard to get hold of an usb micro-charger in there.

I didn't feel too tired, only walked a mile, still a trifle cold here.

I can't work the flu system on my Relenza cartridge - seems very intricate. Still, I believe it was overkill for what I needed in take home meds. Not once did I sneeze in hospital despite having to wear a mask and was glad when I was tested as flu negative.

Re: I've had my chest x-ray

I phoned the specialist nurse; they're going to try and get me in on Thursday to report the results of the biopsy and plan moving on from now.

Still a little nervous, but I've been fine at home. I'm actually visiting someone at the hospital today, an older chap who kept me in vape juice, just returning the favour. That plus trying to get some owed meds from the pharmacy.

I do get bogged down in details, not so good when I have panic attacks, but today seems to be well planned from my phone and computer.

Re: I've had my chest x-ray

I visited my friend, who is feeling better, so that's a good thing. Got the wrong bus home and was left a 3 mile walk.

Still, I managed to walk it slowly, stopping at McDonald's on the way; I didn't eat too much, just a burger and coffee.

Got some nice prunes and apricots from the health food shop on the way back. It must just be me, but it's strange how the days fill up since this all started - more things to do, but plenty of time to be online which I miss if I'm too far away from it as in hospital.

On a side note - I fit perfectly into my navy-blue Levi's serge trousers (the expensive denim) which were previously a little larger than I'd liked...I can't have put on too much weight, just my tendency to catastrophise and over dramatize things.

Re: I've had my chest x-ray

The hospital phoned me back - they want to see me on Thursday at 12 to discuss my biopsy results.

Nervousness awaits again, but this too shall pass. They're really very good with follow up. It may mean I need another MRI to determine the tumour's progress or shrinkage, but they seem to be hoping for Hodgkin's again which is treatable.

All I can do is be kind to myself 'til then and give myself a little bit of a break.
