How Much Interest in USA Is There in This World Cup?

I think we have some Americans on here don't we?
I gather a lot of young people, including a lot of women, play football. And of course there are a lot of people who originate from countries where "soccerrrr" is popular.

Dont know about Americans interest in the world cup ,but how much interest do we have in this country ? I am fed up with football on tele so much & know several people who are the same

The interest in this country is MASSIVE. The larrrst game had 32 million watching on TV and radio channels like five live and Talksport had record listening figures as well.

Added together it comes to an enormous number. It's brought the country together. I'm surprised you didn't know this?

Obviously the Jocks, Welsh and Irish are positively depressed about the whole thing. And we should be sympathetic towards them.

Well at least we should try not to larrrf.

Darn little interest in soccer in the U.S. I don't think I've ever watched more than a few minutes of soccer in my entire life. Too boring.

Over here we like real football.

As in Australia I think soccer in the USA is a girls game certainly some of our female players spend half the year making a living in the USA playing soccer.

The USA hosted The Tournament of Nations last year - guess who won?

I suspect most Americans are not even aware of it...bit like us when they have their Super Bowl stuff it always makes me laugh when they call it world series and the only country who play it is them.

When the Americans can dominate Football which they do not then they'll take an interest but they have a long long way to go and probably this statement applies to the Aussies also.
