Re: Why can't "some" people,

Some parents can be like that with their offspring, wanting to live their lives through their children. I'd hope the children would break out & be themselves, but I guess in some cicumstances the child defers to the parent.

Re: Why can't "some" people,

Why can't some people even attempt to put a decent thread title up?

Re: Why can't "some" people,

Glad you've found you.
My parents were never like that to me or my brother, they let us do our own thing & learn from our own mistakes.

So are you saying you like people who tell it like it is? (as the expression goes), you like blunt speaking?

Didn't we have a thread about that?

Pauline would you say we shouldn't be afraid of upsetting others?

Some people go out of their way to upset. Some things are better left unsaid. Only yesterday my friend was telling me how a woman at her work is always telling folk that they have put weight on. Like they don't already know!! How rude

No,I'm not saying any of that,if you read Tiffany reply, you may get a better understanding, ...it's about people moulding you,to be how they want you to be,to suit their needs, sorry i didn't make myself clear.
