This morning I received a call from the BRI to say they have an appointment for him this Friday morning! I couldn't ask for better service than that ... doctor appointment and hospital appointment in just three days! Brilliant!

Yes, I think you are right, Purwell. Grapefruit is not recommended with medications like Statins I believe.

Private hospitals don't have the facilities or staff to treat really serious medical problems .
As the rich pay into the NHS too why should they not be able to access it the same as anyone else ?
How would one differentiate ?
Often very weathly people do contribute by donating a wing or equipment or leaving a bequest when they die.

....you can get private health treatment for surgical and non surgical conditions, plus many private hospitals have fully equipped intensive care facilities staffed with a dedicated team.
