Steven I do agree that there is a tendency for the media to go 'over the top' when anyone well known dies.
I think it is as a result of the 'Diana factor'.

Steven - I have only heard the opposite to your post
As for me, she was special, she was a part of my teenage years and gave me joy and happiness that was much needed
For that I thank her

She died of a stroke after falling and hitting her head.
She had been sunbathing at her villa

I wouldn't call that "natural" causes, but it is one of better ways to go in terms of suffering. A heart attack would be much worse.

Why is a heart attack worse than a stroke ,I would think the other way round ,Having a stroke can leave you partially paralysed ,incontinent, and many other ailments ..

Its on the cards im going to have one or the other i would much rather it be a Heart attack

Oh yes, the long-term effects of a stroke are worse - I know that from personal experience. I meant DYING from a stroke, as opposed to a heart attack.

It is a subjective thing though, so I'm only talking for myself.

Re: Cilla Black

I have been on holiday for a week so only had scant news about
the death of Cilla.
Why are we so adamant about her death? Well for my age group
of 68 years old she was someone we could aspire to. She came
from a poor family in Liverpool and made it. We all wanted to do
that. I saw her in the 60's on a show waiting for the Beatles.
She did transcend into a TV personality from a singer. I had
only commented the other month on the fab story of her life
called CILLA with the fantastic actress Sheridan Smith playing her
as the great get up and go gal she was.
RIP Cilla. Sorry I was not in England when you needed support
on line. Hope your kids and Grandkids get support from all your
loving friends like Paul O'Grady Cliff Richard, Dale Winton etc.
I bet they are heartbroken.

Re: Cilla Black

Cilla was laid to rest today.
What I can't understand is why is she buried alongside her parents and not Bobby?
