Cliff Richard - is he worth it?

Last night I was browsing the Nottingham theatre website with the hope of finding something my theatre loving friend & I would like for next year.

I got to October and nearly fell off my seat - Sir Cliff Richard is actually performing there! I couldn't believe it He's such a legend.

Feeling very excited I went to the ticket booking and nearly fell off my seat again!!

The cheapest prices are £165 and the most expensive where my friend & I sat last Friday for the Sensational sixties show (£29) row K in the stalls is a whopping £275.

Is he worth it do you think?

Well I say!!

How things have changed!

Cut-price Cliff! £45 concert tickets put £950 Stones to shame as star hits the road again http://bit.ly/SJS57d via http://dailym.ai/android

Having been to see him many times I'd say no one is worth that much, I'm quite sad to see he's willing to ask for that much. Few years ago he was good value at £35. I can't imagine he's improved enough to make him worth what you have seen. Love him but I'd not pay that much.

Cliff Richard - is he worth it?

No, but average "pop" concert prices have shot up recently as performers have become increasingly greedy - "stars" are not just millionaires anymore - their wealth runs into the hundreds of millions of dollars - Bono isn't a billionaire yet, but he soon will be .....

Re: Cliff Richard - is he worth it?

I Have always to an extent been a Cliff fan, but no way is anyone worth paying that much to see live.I dont know how much he actually gets out of the ticket price, but he is well off enough to give his long standing fans something back for their support over the years. Not even top of the bill performers now should be commanding that much money, but I expect they are.

I agree with the others, I certainly wouldn't pay those ridiculous prices, Carol.
Serves 'em right if they are left with a load of tickets.

That's just too much money to pay.

I wouldn't pay that to see any pensioner whose time in the spotlight is over. Sorry fans, I know he's loved by many but I find it a bit pathetic to see someone of his age leaping around with dyed hair and a turkey neck singing stuff he made famous 50 years ago.
