Why do people trust these dreadful things?
Would you ever take them? I certainly would not.

No id never take anything like those,so dangerous especially if buying off the internet . They could contain anything.
I think its a terrible state of affairs that people take these diet pills all for the sake of losing a bit of weight,society puts all sorts of pressures on people today to conform to a unrealistic body ideal,women and men too now. Its very unhealthy!

I remember a few years ago the warnings about a product called ephedra.. Reading this it seeems the two are closely linked in their claims of fat burning and the effect it has, namely death....

A friend of mine is considering going on the 'Herbalife' stuff. I have warned her that, in america, people have sued them because it caused liver damage and/or kidney failure but she just won't listen. She says it has herbs in it so it must be healthy - well - yes, it does have herbs in but it also has strange chemicals in it as well. One of their 'fat busting' drinks actually contained industrial cleaner - even that has not deterred her. She is over weight and wants a fast, easy solution - one that does not involve exercise or giving up chocolate !

I am always surprised by those who ignore common sense which tells us if there was a quick fix to produce weight loss there would be very few overweight people.

I lost 11lb on the slimming world plan. It's one I still follow , I can even eat chocolate or drink wine as long as I keep an eye on what's called syns. I eat really healthy and never am hungry , yes sometimes I get a bit silly but go back to the plan next day. It's about being sensible , making healthy choices (most of the time) . I'm a healthy size 14 , my clothes fit and I'm not overweight . Would never take pills to lose weight .

A dear friend of mine is a little`chubby`. I keep telling her it took years to gain the weight so do not get in a tizzy-even 1lb a week is over 3 stones in a year.
