Surely they would be better given to charity!

Re: Spending a Penny

I suppose if they ever fall on hard times they can spend their floor.

Clever idea I suppose, but not for me.

I've seen that before. Took a long time to place & set, too much work I think. I'll stick to proper floor coverings.

Re: Spending a Penny

It probably cost less than they would have spent on flooring, so it's not really money wasted.
The thing is though, bits of dust and dirt will fall into the spaces and it may be difficult to clean it, unless they seal it with resin or something.

Re: Spending a Penny

I saw it on the News too. Absolutely brilliant. My brother in law, when laying a concrete base for his new garage embedded a couple of silver coins in it before it dried. The local kids spent hours trying to get them out!
Yes, there is a resin seal on that floor Tessa, so just a wipe over to clean. I would love it.

However, back to the real spending a penny. 30p in Manchester train station and I think most of them are now charging exorbitant prices too.

Re: Spending a Penny

I wouldn't like that floor but it might suit a tap dancer for a party piece

Re: Spending a Penny

It would be really annoying if only one was up a different way!
