Re: My Own Personal Choice of Music.

Isn't it funny? At 69 years of age and about 60 years since most of these "old" rock'n'roll records were released, I still think - "too old fashioned" - music my sister would have liked (she was three years older than me). The only exception I would make is Johnny Kidd and the Pirates - I loved them, especially......

which, ironically helped me get over being dumped by my first serious girlfriend at the tender age of 15 in 1963.

Re: My Own Personal Choice of Music.

Although my music tastes are very wide ranged I always feel I missed out on a couple of great era's in music when I listen to Rock or Swing. I actually only started collecting and listening seriously to music in the early 70s.
But similar to you Mick I had my sisters memory's of that time.
Infact when 2 of them passed I got their music collections and it does fetch back a lot of memorys when they used to pull me about in the parlour doing all their dancing moves and I was their rag doll partner who had no bloody idea what I was doing.

HaHa - I remember that experience only too well. It didn't help that I was madly in love with my sister's friend Jackie so although I hated dancing, I would drop anything to be her partner.
Incidentally, "What do you want?" was the first record I ever bought!
