Why when youre in a hurry , running a bit late you miss the bus then hit every red light , or get caught in a traffic jam ?, but if youre in plenty of time one comes along early and theres no hold ups?

Why is it that if you stare at your own reflection in the mirror for awhile without blinking, .. that your face goes darker and you end up with thick facial hair, maniacal eyes and resembling a werewolf or a chimp.
