Re: Premium Bonds

The day premium bonds came out, my then Boss bought everyone in our place of work 2 £1 bonds each. That was very generous in those days.
I still have those 2 as well. They start with the letters AB.

Re: Premium Bonds

I have two bonds which were bought for me when I was five years old - worth £5 each. I have never won anything so I might cash them in and go on a World cruise.

Re: Premium Bonds

I win the odd £25 now and again. I also save my change. It`s just a few quid but I do like to go down to my local building society and put something in an account I save for a treat one day.

Norwich and Peterborough are closing their local branches soon.

Re: Premium Bonds

I have an Instant Access account with Santander with about £2000 in it that I use for emergencies only.
How much notice do you have to give to cash in Premium Bonds?

None.

If you cash out online you should get the money into your bank account in 2 days

Thanks, it would make more sense for me to have my money in Premium Bonds than in an account that pays .01%.

Yes and you have a very very very slight chance of wining a million or a lesser top prize

And it is still a better rate than most banks pay.

Re: Premium Bonds

I came up with £75 this month, one of my daughters had £175, and my sister got £1000.
