liquorice comfits

was in the supermarket yesterday,i do why,but I bought a bag of liquorice comfits,,,used to love them as a kid,and used to nick my kids comfits as well lol,,,,,,so for the first time in 30 40 yrs,i sat down to scoff a bag,,,loved them,will now put them on my shopping list lol,
anyway,was wondering if any of you had an urge to buy sweets from your childhood? who loved love hearts lol

I bought a small bag of 'Flying Saucers' the other - just to see if they were as good as I remembered - they were !!

Oh and black jacks...loved them

And Freddos. ..I still buy them now as a little choc treat once in a while
I suck the head until it's gone first, then I shove the rest of the body in my mouth and let it melt slowly on my tongue

I have the very occasional caramac bar, just as nice as they used to be, I'm a fan of white chocolate buttons with hundreds and thousands on them too but only if they are real chocolate not the chocolate style ones that are worse than dog chocolate.

Another licorice fan but I resist the temptation to buy it these days.At one time I could have happily eat a box of licorice allsorts or comfits in one go .

I did buy a packet of Victory V lozenges the other day, I hadn't seen them around for years.

Yes me too Meg liquorice is my downfall, one allsorts is never enough.

Did you know that liquorice raises your blood pressure? Art told me that so I checked it out and it's true so I don't eat the whole bag anymore

Squirrel dolly mixtures, my all time favourite, but unfortunately you can't get them now. The Bassets and other brands of dolly mixtures are nothing like the squirrel ones, so having tried other brands and not liking them, I don't get dolly mixtures any more. Mr Clumsy occasionally has a bag of liquorice torpedos.
